U.S. Embassy Marks Ramadan with the Muslim Community in Constanta

Marking the first day of  the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, as a guest of honor of the Muslim community in Constanta, U.S. Embassy Officer Micah Savidge helped distribute food to all inhabitants of the village of Tataru near Constanta, irrespective of their ethnicity.  The event was organized by the Democratic Union of the Muslim Turkish Tatars of Romania (UDTTMR) in Constanta and the Mufti’s Office, with the participation of the members of the Turkish Democratic Union of Romania (UDTR). The evening concluded with a traditional Iftar dinner at one of the lavish Turkish restaurants in Constanta.
