Special Session of the Romanian Chamber of Deputies
On October 8, the Romanian Chamber of Deputies convened a solemn session on the Holocaust. Ambassador Gitenstein and Warren Miller, Chairman of the U.S. Commission to Preserve America’s Heritage Abroad, separately addressed the session.

"Breaking of the Fast" at Ambassador’s Residence
Ambassador Gitenstein invited members of the Jewish community for a meal to break the fast, marking the end of the holiest Jewish holiday of the year, Yom Kippur (“day of atonement”).
